Upcoming Program

This week we are presenting a half hour special show of the CJSF Homeless Marathon show filmed on February 23 at the W2 Community Media and Arts Centre. Hosted by Ryan Fletcher of CJSF’s “Melodies in Mind” and Jay Peachy of “The Artist’s Lounge” the show features performances by Star, Ricky, Adaline, Montana King, Dennis Signus, and the Hot Corn Ramblers.

The show is broadcast on Shaw Cable 4 in Vancouver and Cable 11 in Victoria and on the Novus Entertainment Network.

Volunteer Meeting, March 9

The next meeting for people interested in getting involved with VcommunityTV will be on Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Collingwood Neighbourhood House, 5288 Joyce Street, Vancouver, BC (near the Joyce Skytrain station). We hope to see you there. This meeting is open to anyone who wants to get involved in creating community based media broadcast on Shaw Cable.

A Town Called Home

First broadcast on February 27 “A Place Called Home” was directed by Franck Le Coroller and tells the story of the town of Port Renfrew, BC and the changes that development is bringing to the town. Wild Salmon Circle

First broadcast on February 27 this is a film about a demonstration organized by the Wild Salmon Circle and held at Vanier Park in Vancouver, BC on February 20. Speakers talk about the complicity of Norwegian large transnational corporations in the BC fish farm industry and how this is adversely impacting on the wild salmon. Hear about the folly of farming Atlantic salmon in the Pacific Ocean.
