What is the Vancouver Community Television Association?

The Vancouver Community Television Association is a non-profit society that has been producing community access television on Shaw Cable in Vancouver for more than 15 years.

In December 2008, long-time producers Linda Taffs and Pedro Mora relocated to Victoria and began broadcasting VCTA productions on Shaw Cable in Victoria. In July 2009, the decision was made to separate the hour broadcast into two half hour shows, “VcommunityTV-One World” produced by Paula Cole and David Maidman would continue to broadcast under the VCTA banner and “Now Polling” which would continue to be produced by Pedro and Linda independently.

What is VcommunityTV?

VcommunityTV is a co-operative of filmmakers and concerned people.
VcommunityTV is a showcase of issues and events occurring in our communities.
VcommunityTV presents a vision of a better world and celebrates those in our neighbourhoods who are trying to achieve it.
VcommunityTV was formed to produce a 1/2 hour weekly program program called “One World”.
VcommunityTV operates under the auspices of the Vancouver Community Television Association, a registered non-profit society.

Saturday, 7:30-8pm
Sunday, 8-8:30pm
Thursday, 12-12:30am (Wednesday midnight)
Thursday, 10:30-11am
Friday 3-3:30am

as well as Novus Cable 4 (Victoria):

Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun, 2:30am and 1:30pm
Tues-Thurs-Sat, 2:30am, 10:30am, and 1:30pm
